THE CONCEPT
Automobile & Culture comes from the alliance of the passion for automobiles, and local culture. Our concept is simple: gathering people around the same passions, in a private event, in a private place. For the first event, we will solely focus on classic cars and youngtimers, which are for us the golden era of car manufacturing, that we can summarize in a few words: symphony, design, smell, and ethos.
Our promise is to be an invite-based event, regrouping a nice selection of cars and their owners, and other stakeholders such as professionals and enthusiasts. During this first event, you will have the possibility to talk about cars, taste wine from the beautiful venue that welcomes us, and eat tasty food from the foodtruck that will work with us. During the event, music will be played and pictures taken for unforgettable memories.
THE VENUE
The Prieuré de Montézargues is located in Tavel, France (near Avignon). The domain has been producing wine for the past several years and Guillaume will be our host. Perched in the trees and among the vines, this peace harbor will let you enjoy the sun, the sound of the cars, and the peaceful ambiance that reigns there.
The inner courtyard of the château will serve as the center point of the event: a handful selection of cars will be displayed there, stylized for the best visual effects. The main theme for this year being the Datsun Z heritage, three Datsun 240z will be displayed inside, along some other cars.
Outside, the driveway will allow for the remaining cars to park, allowing us to welcome up to 30 cars. Also, the foodtruck will be located near the main entrance for fast and efficient restoration. Tables and chairs will be set next to the cars in the inner courtyard to rest for a while and eat peacefully.
THE CARS
The focus will be on classic cars. As said previously, these are to our eyes the pinnacle of the automotive industry: simple, beautiful, charismatic. These cars have soul.
The theme for the first event is the “Z-series Datsun” genesis. To celebrate this theme, we gathered three Datsun 240Z, two Datsun 260Z, and one Datsun 280Z. However, these cars are not the only one allowed to the event. Here is a list of what signed up so far:
